About Me

Lauren
I started this blog 3 years ago while serving as a PCUSA Young Adult Volunteer in Kenya. Then I put it on pause to attend seminary. Now I am back in Kenya and back blogging. This year I am serving as an intern through the PCEA in Nairobi (this means different things on different days.) I am so excited to be back here: seeing old friends, meeting new people, and beginning different adventures! Karibu sana!

Those who hope in Christ can no longer put up with reality as it is, but begin to suffer under it, to contradict it. Peace with God means conflict with the world, for the goad of the promised future stabs inexorably into the flesh of every unfulfilled present.

To be fully human, fully myself,
To accept all that I am, all that you envision,
This is my prayer.
Walk with me out to the rim of life,
Beyond security.
Take me to the exquisite edge of courage
And release me to become.
